Counselling in North Shields
Counselling is a talking therapy that requires a qualified therapist, such as myself, to listen and help you find ways to deal with emotional issues.
I am confidential and non-judgemental and can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes, to help you find your own solutions to problems, without giving advice, either face-to-face, over the phone or online.
I offer:
-
One-to-one counselling
-
Couples counselling
-
Bereavement counselling
I work at your pace, specialising in depression, trauma, anxiety, addiction, relationship and emotional difficulties.
Past trauma or life events may feel difficult to cope with and leave you feeling anxious, depressed or stuck in unhelpful patterns of behaviour causing you conflict and anxiety.
If you are considering counselling for the first time or have experienced therapy in the past or have struggled to find a solution that feels right for you, taking that first step is often the most difficult. Asking for help is a sign of strength.
I offer a free telephone consultation, allowing you to speak to me directly. Together we will find a style or integrative approach to therapy which best meets your needs.
I can provide you with a safe and confidential space to explore what it is that has brought you to therapy and together we can explore new ways to improve your self awareness which can empower you to alter unhelpful emotions and repeated behaviours that may dictate your life.
Normally, sessions are 50 mins and I work within a 6–12 session model. Sessions take place in my private studio in North Shields, online (Zoom), or on a phone call.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
